Block User From Sending Friend Request

Being social networking websites, there are different types people are hanging on. Some join Facebook to meet their relatives, old friends, while some others  intention may not be positive. They just add people and bully with them or try to harass them. They search new people, add them even though they don’t have any relation with them. Most of people who has lots of friend in their friends list, it’s only for scam / spam purpose and they mostly do it with girl’s profile.

Through privacy setting you can block user from sending you friend request. To do so, go to Privacy setting page and on the either side of How you connect click on edit setting options.

How You Connect

After clicking on Edit Setting, a dialogue box will appear. On the right hand side of “Who can send you friend requests“, we will see two options ” Everyone” and “Friends of Friends“. If the selection is over the “Everyone” then anybody can send you friend request. If you change it from “Everyone” to “Friends of Friends” options, thereafter only your friends and friends of friends will be able to send you friend. Beside from friends of friends no one can send you friend request.

After the selection, click on Done button to save the preferences. Here after, no one will be able to send you friend request, even if the friends of friends send you the request, you can simply deny them, if you don’t know them else you can add them if you want to.
