www.facebook.com home page (alternatively, called index page) is to login into Facebook. The login page (same home page) gives you option to enter username and password. Once you provide correct email address and password, you will login into your Facebook account. (*if you have an account already)

Yes, you can use Facebook in your own language. They do have huge selection of language and even Pirates language. This is placed just after the end of content area with numerous list of languages. - Facebook Business and Apps:
At the end of homepage’s end, you will see the links you can browse without logging. The menu contains links for apps you can install in your mobile for better Facebook experience, list of pages, FB advertisement, list of people, privacy policy, terms of use and other necessary links everyone need to visit but literally none.
*The design of Facebook homepage might change according to language selection. Other languages homepage displays world map at middle left instead of information on Facebook features.

May be you have enabled phone verification method. In such case you will receive SMS with security code from Facebook in mobile number you provided to Facebook.

For over 3 weeks now I cannot log on to fb. I get ” account is temporarily unavailable” it tells me to log on from computer and follow instructions. I tried that to no avail. When I enter & click the Facebook url, I’m immediately taken to my Facebook Profile wall instead of to the FB Login/Sign-up. And nothing on my wall works–I can’t see news feed, friends, or photos, nor can I view my friend requests and notifications.
