Facebook search bar is not only useful to find friends on Facebook it has other usage apart from this. However, don’t think that it’s something like Google search (it’s a social media not a search engine). With the help of Facebook search user can find almost every contents of Facebook directory. Unlike the search bar of any other site simply type your query in the search bar, then press enter to go.

Note: From Facebook search you are not going to find those contents that are not listed in its directory.

There is one important steps that is to be taken in consideration to perform the Facebook search, which is login to Facebook. Unless you won’t login to Facebook you are never going to find the search bar. After you have logged in to Facebook, just look at the topmost part of the page where you can find the search bar, which looks like this

Find application in Facebook

As there are number of popular applications in Facebook like as Mafia war, Pot Farm, Cityville, Poker, Angry Birds and so on you and with the help of Facebook search you can find them easily and join them.

For example:

As you see that I have placed the query Cityville in search box and there is the result and I am sure that it’s the game not a Fan page or the group of cityville player because it is listed in the category Apps. What I wan to make you clear is some other result also appear for this query but all of them are not game some of them are fan page while some are the group created by the players.

Find Fan Page

When you join the fan page of any products, Football Club, Music Band, Institutes, Applications and so on, you get more closer to them. Once you like something, you will get their up dates and news right from your Facebook account. In other sense it’s just like subscribing  them. Just to search the Fan page you are going to repeat the same process like searching application just type the name of the page that you want in search bar, then click the Like. That’s it, now all the updates and news start to come as soon as they are posted in facebook.

For example:

This is the fan page of the application Cityville now just to join the page click Like. You will get the updates unless you won’t Unlike the page.

Remember: To make sure that it’s the fan page look at the category where you will find the category name Pages. 

Find Group

Finding a group is also not a difficult task at all, all you have to do is type the name of the group that you intend to join, then click Ask for permission.

Note: Administrator of the group must grant permission to you to become the member of the group.

For example:

To send the request just click Ask for permission.

Remember: Like apps and Fan page groups have also separate category namely Group.
