Before starting video chat, it require the setup process. Without downloading the  Facebook Video chat software, one cannot do video chat.

To get this feature or facility in Facebook, it won’t require to download software from third party. Follow the link https://www.facebook.com/videocalling and click over the Get Started “the green icon button”. It will take you through the download and setup process.

Alternate Way of  Setting Video Chat:

Simply, on the chat list, select the online friend you want to make video conversation.

Click over the video chat icon to download and to setup the software.

After clicking Install button, the download starts automatically, then after the completion of download, run the setup file to install.

Instead of those setup process, setup file can be directly downloaded from https://fbcdn-dragon-a.akamaihd.net/cfs-ak-ash4/84992/90/FacebookVideoCallSetup_v1.2.205.0.exe. Then after, one can be able to do video chat with friends, face to face.

Note: Even though you have don’t have Facebook video chat software installed and whenever your friend send request for video calling, Facebook will take you through the setup and installing process and vice-versa.
